AN ICON SHOWING THE GUARDIAN ANGEL FLANKED BY STS. NICHOLAS OF MYRA, JOHN THE FORERUNNER, PARASKEVA AND NASTASYA Russian, late 19th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. All bearing gilt haloes, painted traditionally with complimentary greens and reds, the garment folds emphasised with strong gold striations. Vertical crack and border partially restored. 30.8 x 26.7 cm.
