A LARGE STAUROTHEK ICON WITH FAMILY SAINTS Jerusalem, 19th century (crucifix), Russian, late 19th century (icon) A mother of pearl crucifix set into the panel. Tempera on wood panel. The background made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. The crucified Christ is flanked by seven selected saints to either side, St. Tatiana is shown on both sides. The upper corners illustrating the Deposition and Entombment of Christ. Minimal hairline cracks. 53 x 44 cm.
