VIOLIN LABELED 'HAMM' Markneukirchen or Vogtland, 19th century. One-piece spruce top and maple back, dark brown varnish; includes case. 4/4 violin, total length 59 cm, body length 35.9 cm. Back bears the brand 'Hamm'; likely from the workshop of Christian Gottfried Hamm or its circle. Part. bumped and rubbed, scratches, and cracks in the top. Provenance: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
