Description
VIOLIN BOW MARKED 'LOEWENDALS*' German, early 20th century. Octagonal shaft, single eye, silver mountings, winding, thumb leather, ivory end plate. Length: 74.6 cm, weight: approx. 60 g. Violin bow marked 'Loewendals' (Louis Löwendahl), presumably from the Knopf school or workshop. Partially bumped and rubbed. Provenance: Private collection, Rhineland. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community. An export license is required for shipment to third countries. Please inform yourself about the current import regulations for ivory in your country.
