SAZ (BAGLAMA) Turkey, 20th century. Plucked string instrument. Length 103 cm. The baglama, also known as the saz, is one of the most important plucked instruments in Turkish folk music and is widely played in Anatolia and across large parts of the Middle East. Shows some signs of wear and rubbing. Provenance: Private collection, Hesse.
