'SYMPHONION' DISC MUSIC BOX Leipzig, c. 1890-1905. Square, dark-stained wooden case; comb-based mechanism with interchangeable perforated discs; side-mounted crank. H. 12.5 cm, W. 19 cm, D. 17.5 cm; weight approx. 2.5 kg. Interior label reads 'Symphonion Patented Brevete S.G.D.G.' and 'D.R.P.'; comb numbered '110998', serial number 544. Minor wear and traces of oxidation; case shows some wear; mechanism tested and functional.
