NEAPOLITAN MANDOLIN Italy, likely Naples, c. 1900-1920. Hand-painted spruce top with floral Art Nouveau ornamentation, bowl-back body (ribbed construction), bone tuning pegs; in original case. Length approx. 59 cm. Oval soundhole with mother-of-pearl inlay, tortoiseshell pickguard, eight strings arranged in four double courses. Some damage and signs of wear. Please note that, due to current CITES regulations, unrestricted trade is permitted only within the European Community. Export to non-EU countries is not possible.
