Description
CELLO 'HANS TRAUTNER' Ansbach, 1917 Two-piece spruce top and one-piece maple back, heavily flamed, reddish-brown varnish. 4/4 violoncello, length 123.5 cm, body length 75.5 cm. Cell label: 'Hans Trautner Ansbach fecit Ansbach anno 1917 Op. 153' and 'H. Trautner' brand mark on the back. Scale length 69, neck scale length 28.1, top scale length 41.3, side width 12 cm. Hans Trautner lived from 1870 to 1946 and was a German stringed instrument maker who worked in Ansbach, Hof, and Markneukirchen. Partial top cracks and best, 2025 rest. and refurbished.
