BASS VIOLA DA GAMBA Probably Italy, 18th century or later Two-piece spruce top and maple back, dark reddish varnish, ebony handle, with hard case. Length approx. 121 cm, body length approx. 73 cm. Viola da gamba label illegible and reads 'Repaired by Dominikus Kasper, string and instrument maker, Wangen im Allgäu, 1879' and signed in handwriting.
