VIENNESE SCULPTOR Active early 20th century 'FOUR DWARFS WITH WINE BARREL' Viennese bronze, dark patina, on a round plinth and wooden base. Total height 21.5 cm, width 11 cm, depth 11.5 cm; weight approx. 1.17 kg. A humorous, fully modeled depiction of four dwarfs-wearing pointed caps and sporting beards-grouped around a large wine barrel (likely intended as a match holder or pencil cup) designed as an open container. One dwarf sits on the rim of the barrel, two others support the barrel, and the third lies on the ground. Minor rubbing and losses to the patina.
