VIENNESE FIGURAL BRONZE MAKERS Active around 1900 GROUP OF THREE EROTIC VIENNESE "TRANSFORMATION" BRONZES Bronze, cold-painted in polychrome, hinged/opening mechanism. Heights: 22 cm and 12 cm (each). Sarcophagus marked "Nam Greb," with "B" jug mark and "Austria"; Oriental figures each marked "K.E." and "Geschützt" (Protected/Registered Design). A group of three humorous, erotic "transformation" or novelty bronzes, comprising: an Egyptian-style, polychrome-painted sarcophagus by Franz Xaver Bermann, featuring stylized hieroglyphs and a death mask; the hinged front opens to reveal a standing female nude figure inside, wearing an Oriental headdress. Two figures by Karl Eichinger depicting an Oriental man in a turban and loose coat, holding a cat in his arms; the hinged halves of the coat each conceal an erotic scene featuring a female nude figure. Part. bumped and rubbed, loss of paint.
