CLAIRE JEANNE ROBERTE COLINET 1880 Brussels - 1950 Asnières-sur-Seine (Probably) THEBAN DANCER Bronze, brown patina and cold-painted, on a rectangular plinth. H. 40.5, W. 51, D. 19 cm. Unsigned; identical versions exist by Colinet or a successor. Full-figure depiction of a semi-clad exotic dancer in a dynamic pose, seated on the ground with arms outstretched wide to either side. The garment features a green patina; the body and jewelry are highlighted. Part. bumped and rubbed, loss of paint. Provenance: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
