PHILIPPE WOLFERS 1858 Belgium - 1929 (after) NYMPH AND PEACOCK TABLE LAMP Dark-patinated bronze and colored leaded glass, on a rock-like base. H. 67, W. 26, D. 34 cm. Marked 'Philippe Wolfers' on the base; after a design by Philippe Wolfers. Figural Art Nouveau table lamp featuring a fully modeled female nude-or nymph-with a peacock. The figure is integrated into the lamp's sweeping, ornamental composition; the peacock features decoratively rendered plumage. Incorporates colored glass elements set in lead cames (Tiffany style). Minor chips and loss of patina; functionality not guaranteed. Provenance: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
