JOHANN PHILIPP FERDINAND PREISS 1882 Erbach - 1943 Berlin 'DANCING BALLERINA'* Chryselephantine, bronze, gold patinated and finely chiseled, face and arms carved from ivory, on an octagonal marble base (h. 5.5 cm). Overall h. 19, w. 10.5, d. 5.5 cm, weight approx. 550g. Marked 'J. Preiss' on the plinth and foundry mark 'PK' in a circle (Preiss & Kassler, Berlin). Part. Loss of patina, min. dam. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community. An export license is required for shipment to third countries. Please inform yourself about the current import regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell in your country.
