FRANZ XAVER BERGMANN 1861 Austria - 1936 STANDING ORIENTAL MAN WITH RAISED ARMS Viennese bronze, partly brown patinated, polychrome, on a round plinth. H. 42.5, W. 20, D. 14 cm, weight approx. 3.67 kg. Marked 'Bergmann' and 'Geschützt' on the underside of the robe, numbered '2607' on the back. A finely crafted, rare and large oriental figure from Bergmann's workshop: an expressive Oriental in robes with his arms raised. Minimal losses to the patina and bumped. Provenance: European private collection.
