C. A. SÖDING 1858-1934 'GIRL BLOWING SOAP BUBBLES' Bronze with gold patina, set on a round plinth within a hexagonal marble bowl designed like a table fountain. Figure height 33 cm, total height 47 cm, width 36 cm, depth 36 cm; weight approx. 12 kg. Inscribed 'Söding' on the back of the plinth; probably a Swedish sculptor. A fully modeled standing female nude on a cylindrical base. The young woman holds a small bowl in one hand and a tube to her lips for blowing soap bubbles in the other; a small white sphere representing a soap bubble is positioned in front of the tube. Part. bumped and rubbed, loss of paint.
