MICHEL DECOUX 1837 Liège - 1924 Liège 'PANTHÈRE MARCHANT' Bronze with dark golden patina. H. 12, L. 32, D. 6.5 cm. Signed 'Decoux' on the left hind leg; stamped 'BRONZE' alongside. Fully modeled depiction of a striding panther in a tense, naturalistic pose. Areas of rubbing and minor impact marks; loss of patina; underside features drill holes from former mounting on a base.
