JOHANNES BOESE 1856 Ostrog - 1917 Berlin 'KETOS SEES ANDROMEDA' Bronze, patinated gold and black, on a stone base. Total height 54 cm, width 29 cm, depth 23 cm, weight approx. 15.97 kg. Inscribed 'J. Dramatic mythological scene: the sea monster Ketos, in dynamic motion with its mouth wide open, has just discovered the bound Andromeda on the rock - a rare moment of tension before Perseus intervenes.
