GIOVANNI BOLOGNA GEN. GIAMBOLOGNA 1529 Douai - 1608 Florence (after) HERMES Bronze, brown patina, on a round plinth and pedestal base (h. 17 cm). Total h. 71, w. 15, d. 23 cm, weight approx. 6.12 kg. Illegibly marked to the side of the plinth. Above a round base a fully sculpted depiction of Hermes, the messenger of the gods, in a moving pose, balancing on a head as an allegory of the wind. Min. losses to the patina, partially bumped and rest.
