ACHILLE D'ORSI 1845 Naples - 1929 ibid FISHERBOY WITH JARS Bronze, brown and dark patina, on a rock-like plinth and marble base (H. 3 cm). Total height 57, width 23, D. 24 cm, weight approx. 11.66 kg. Signed on the side 'A. D'Orsi'. Depicts a barefoot boy in simple clothing. The boy is carrying a rope with several clay jugs or vessels attached to it - presumably for supplying water or as fishing containers. Partial loss of patina and some wear.
