CARLO MAROCHETTI 1805 Turin - 1867 Paris (probably) 'EMANUEL PHILIBERT, DUKE OF SAVOYEN' Bronze, dark patina, on an oval plinth. H. 27.5 cm, W. 25.5 cm, D. 11 cm, Weight approx. 3.66 kg. Unsigned, probably Marochetti. A representative depiction of Emanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy, as a victorious general in historical armor. The Duke is shown mounted on horseback, drawing his sword in a powerful gesture. Minimal loss of patina.
