PAUL LUDWIG KOWALCZEWSKI 1865 Mieltschin - 1910 Berlin DIANA WITH A HUNTING DOG Bronze, brown patina, on a polygonal marble base (H. 3 cm). Total height 33 cm, width 17.5 cm, depth 21 cm; weight approx. 4.38 kg. Inscribed 'P. Kowalczewski' on the plinth. A fully modeled depiction of the hunting goddess Diana striding forward, clad in an animal skin and holding a spear, accompanied by a hunting dog. Shows signs of rubbing and minor impact marks; loss of patina on the body.
