LUDWIG GRAEFNER (ALSO GRÄFNER) 1861-1939 ÉPÉE FENCER Bronze, dark patina, on a rectangular plinth and marble base (h. 9 cm). Total dimensions: H 55.5 cm, W 25 cm, D 21.5 cm; weight approx. 10.9 kg. Inscribed 'Graefner' on the plinth. Fully modeled figure of a male fencer in a dynamic stride, holding his épée ready for combat. Areas of rubbing and minor impact marks; loss of patina.
