OTTO HOFFMANN 1885 Berlin - 1915 'CHINESE MAN WITH TRAY'* Chryselephantine, bronze, dark patina, face and hands carved from ivory, on oval plinth and marble base (H. 3 cm). Total H. 30.5, W. 16, D. 12.5 cm, weight approx. 3.55 kg. Signed 'O. Hoffmann' on the plinth. Elegant depiction of a standing Chinese man in traditional dress with a braided pigtail, presenting a tray with a tea service. Partially damaged, loss of patina, rest. Provenance: Private collection, Hesse. CITES marketing certificate is available.
