UNKNOWN SCULPTOR 'DUMAS' Active 20th century 'APOLLO WITH BOW, AFTER LEOCHARES' Bronze, dark patina, on a naturalistic plinth and rectangular marble base. Total height 31 cm, width 15 cm, depth 9.5 cm; weight approx. 2.59 kg. Inscribed 'Dumas' on the back. A reduced-scale replica of the famous *Apollo Belvedere* created by Leochares in the 4th century BC. A fully modeled depiction of the ancient god Apollo as an idealized, nude youth in a dynamic pose, holding a bow and arrow. Minor nicks and loss of patina.
