Marked with a 'B' in a jug on the back; inscribed 'B17?' on the interior; a replica in the style of Franz Xaver Bergmann. A Viennese erotic bronze featuring a humorous, double-entendre depiction of an aroused monkey sitting on a bed. The bronze is constructed in two parts and can be opened via unscrewable ball feet, revealing an intimately embracing couple inside the bed. Partial loss of patina.
