Description
TWO UNDERGLAZE-BLUE AND COPPER-RED 'DRAGON' SNUFF BOTTLES China, Qing Dynasty or later Porcelain. H. 7.1-9.3 cm. The snuff bottles are painted with two dragons chasing the flaming pearl amongst clouds. With traces of use, partially chipped, one bottle without stopper. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia, acquired in China at state-owned antique and curio stores before 1985.
