TWO IRON TSUBA (SWORD GUARDS) Japan, 18th/19th century Iron. H. ca. 7 cm. Both of marugata shape and finely worked in sukashi; one decorated with aubergines and signed "Choshu-ju Hisatsugu", the other with double gourds. With traces of age, partially abraded and damaged. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
