KIYOGAWA MORIMITSU, A GOLD LACQUER FIVE-CASE INRO Japan, 19th century Lacquerware. H. 9.2 cm. The inro is decorated with a continuous design of an island landscape of Matsushima in takamakie on a kinji ground, signed on the bottom "Kiyogawa Morimitsu saku" with seal. With traces of use, slightly damaged. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
