Description
A CARVED RED LACQUER 'LANDSCAPE' QUATREFOIL BOX AND COVER China, 18th/19th century Lacquerware. W. 20.3 cm. The top of the cover is carved in relief with an elder scholar talking two children under a pine tree in a mountain landscape as well as panels enclosing flowers on sides divided by lotus flowers. With traces of use, damaged and cracked in places, partially restored.
