A GILT WOOD STANDING FIGURE OF AMIDA BUDDHA Japan, Edo period Wood. H. 75 cm. Buddha with inlaid crystal urna in long monastic robes is standing on a double lotus pedestal supported on an elaborated tiered plinth of octagonal form, backed by the almond-shaped mandorla composed of flowering tendrils. With traces of age, damaged and restored in places.
