Description
A SILVER MOUNTED WOOD 'ANIMAL' OFFERING BOWL China (Tibet), 19th/20th century Wood/silver. D. 14.6 cm. The bowl is decorated with mythical animals divided by four of the "Eight Auspicious Symbols". With traces of use, slightly damaged. Provenance: From a private collection in Tyrol, acquired directly from Sangha from Tibet in the second half of the 20th century.
