A MUGHAL-STYLE CELADON-GREY JADE 'LOTUS' MARRIAGE BOWL China, Qing Dynasty Jade. W. 28.1 cm, H. 9 cm. The bowl is finely carved in the shape of a lotus, with openworked handles, each holding a circular ring, and topped with a lotus bud. Both the interior and exterior are decorated in relief with a chi dragon. With traces of age, slightly cracked on the ring. Provenance: From an old private collection in the Lower Rhine region (Niederrhein)
