A JAPANESE LAC BURGAUTÉ SNUFF BOTTLE Japan, 19th century Lacqureware. H. 5.8 cm. The black-lacquered snuff bottle is finely decorated with a geometric pattern of inlaid shell and gold, with two wide sides depicting landscapes and two narrow sides with floral motifs. It retains a matching stopper and spoon. The base is marked with a leaf. With traces of use and age.
