Description
A MOLDED AND CARVED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE China, Qing Dynasty Porcelain/pearl/tortoiseshell. H. 6.8 cm. The snuff bottle is finely carved and molded with Buddhist lions, with an iron-red painted mark "Daqing Jiaqing Nianzhi" on the base. The cover is inlaid with a natural pearl, and the scoop is made of tortoiseshell. With traces of use and age, slightly chipped. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
