EINE GROSSE FAMILLE-ROSE-SGRAFFITO-VASE MIT FIGURENDARSTELLUNG

A LARGE FAMILLE-ROSE SGRAFFITO 'FIGURAL' VASE China, Qing dynasty Porcelain. H. 63.5 cm. The vase is covered overall with a pale lime-green glaze over a finely incised, dense sgraffito ground. One side depicts a scene of 'Qun Xian Zhu Shou', the other with phoenixes and ponies. The flaring trumpet neck is applied on either side with turquoise and gilt handles, the interior of the neck glazed turquoise and the rim gilt. With traces of age and use, partially abraded.
