A CHINESE CARVED TORTOISESHELL 'FIGURAL' BOX AND COVER China, 19th century Tortoiseshell. D. 9.5 cm. The box and cover are finely carved with scenes of activities from that time period. With traces of age and use, partially damaged and abraded. Provenance: From an old private collection in the southern part of North Rhine-Westphalia. CITES marketing certificate is available.
