Description
A FINE GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF SHADAKSHARI LOKESHVARA Tibet, Ming-Style Bronze. H. 14.1 cm. The four-armed Shadakshari Lokeshvara is seated in dhyanasana on a lotus pedestal, the principal hands held in anjali mudra, the upper-left hand holding a lotus bud. Richly adorned with beaded jewelry and wearing a billowing scarf, his serene face displays heavy-lidded, downcast eyes, an otherworldly expression. The hair is arranged in a tall chignon behind a five-leaf crown. With traces of age, partially abraded.
