AN IRREGULAR UMIMATSU KISERUZUTSU AND TONKOTSU Japan, 19th century or later Umimatsu. H. 7.3 cm (Tonkotsu); L. 19.1 cm (Kiseruzutsu). The cover of the tonkotsu is inlaid with three small sea shells. With traces of use and age, partially abraded and damaged. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia, acquired in 2008 from the auction house Lempertz.
