Description
AN IVORY OKIMONO OF TWO MONKEYS Japan, 19th century or later Ivory. L. 7.1 cm. The okimono is carved as two monkeys resting on a large leaf with their travel packs beside them. With traces of age, partially damaged and cracked. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community. An export license is required for shipment to third countries. Please inform yourself about the current import regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell in your country. It is currently not possible to export ivory to the USA, Canada or England. This item is not legal to sell in the UK.
