A STAG-ANTLER NETSUKE OF SHOKI AND ONI Japan, 19th century Stag-antler. H. 5.5 cm. The netsuke is carved as Shoki standing with his sword held in his right hand, while his other hand grasps a captured oni, held upside down beside Shoki's left leg. With traces of use and age, partially abraded.
