A WOOD NETSUKE OF A DRAGON IN A MIKAN (TANGERINE) Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 3 cm. The netsuke is finely carved, depicting a dragon winding through and around stippled mikan, with the leafy stem forming the himotoshi. The eye is inlaid, and it is signed in an incised oval reserve 'Tomomitsu'. With traces of age and use. Literature: This netsuke can be compared to Lot 34, which was sold at Bonhams in the auction held in November 2023.
