EIN NETSUKE VON CHORYO UND KOSEKIKO AUS HOLZ

A WOOD NETSUKE OF CHORYO AND KOSEKIKO Japan, 19th century Wood/Bone/coral. H. 4.8 cm. The netsuke is finely carved with Choryo handing the recovered shoe to Kosekiko atop his horse, the horse's saddlecloth adorned with inlaid bone and coral. Signed 'Yuichi' in a rectangular inlaid mother-of-pearl on the bottom. With traces of age and use, partially cracked.
