AN IVORY NETSUKE OF A WOLF WITH SKULL Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. 3.6 cm. The netsuke is carved as an emaciated wolf seated with its mouth open, one forepaw pressing down on a skull. It is signed "Tomotsugu" in a reserve on its left thigh. With traces of age and use, slightly abraded. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
