A LACQUER KISERUZUTSU (PIPECASE) AND A TABAKO-IRE Japan, Meiji or Taisho era Lacquerware/leather/metall/tortoise. H. 5-26.5 cm. Including a kiseruzutsu finely decorated with an eagle perched on a pine tree, and a tabako-ire decorated with flowers, connected to a manju-netsuke carved from tortoiseshell. With traces of age and use, partially abraded. Provenance: From a German private collection.
