EIN GROSSES BLAU-WEISSES GEFÄSS MIT DER DARSTELLUNG VON QILIN

A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE 'QILIN' JAR China, probably Transitional period Porcelain. H. 38.5 cm. The jar is decorated with lotus motifs and features four panels painted with qilin. With traces of age and use, partially abraded and chipped on the rim. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
