Description
A BLUE AND WHITE 'CHAN GONG ZHE GUI' JAR AND COVER China, Kangxi-Period Porcelain. H. 29.2 cm. The jar is finely painted with the scene of 'Chan Gong Zhe Gui', a classic narrative motif found on porcelain from the late Ming to early Qing period. The base bears the mark 'Daming Chenghua Nianzhi'. Severely damaged, with visible traces of restoration.
