Description
A CARVED RUSSET-BROWN AND SPINACH-GREEN JADE SNUFF BOTTLE China, 18th/19th century Jade. H. 7.8 cm. The bottle is carved on one side in low-relief utilizing the russet-brown skin to depict Liu Hai and the three-legged toad, with silver spoon and jadeite stopper. With traces of use, partially chipped. Provenance: From a private collection in the Ruhr area, acquired at Gallery Flachsmann.
