Description
A STAG-ANTLER CARVED KISERUZUTSU WITH TABAKO-IRE Japan, 19th/20th century Antler/leather/metal. L. 18.5 cm (kiseruzutsu); L. 10.5 cm (tabako-ire). The kiseruzutsu is of the senryu-zutsu type. The upper section is carved with an openwork design of lingzhi mushrooms, while the lower section is decorated with orchids growing between stones and inscriptions. It is accompanied by a stag antler ojime and a leather tabako-ire, mounted with a shibuichi-kanamono in the form of two horses. With traces of use, partially abraded and damaged.
