Description
AN IVORY CARVED OPENWORK BRUSH POT AND A PUZZLE BALL China, 19th/20th century Ivory. H. 9.8-14.5 cm. Including an openwork brush pot depicting the scene of "The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", and a puzzle ball carved as He Xiangu standing on the ball, with a pair of peaches beneath it as the base. With traces of use and age, slightly cracked. Provenance: From an old private collection in the southern part of North Rhine-Westphalia. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
